Bacon Green Beans


Bacon Green Beans


Ingredients:

1/8 Lb Bacon diced
1/2 Onion minced
1 Lb Green Beans trimmed
1/2 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
Salt
Pepper
1/2 c Boiling Water
1 Tbs Butter Softened
1 1/2 Tbs Vinegar

Directions:

In a deep skillet cook bacon on medium heat stirring until crisp.

Transfer bacon to a paper towel covered plate with a slotted spoon.

Add the onion to the skillet and cook, stirring until soft.

Add the green beans, red pepper flakes, and salt. Saute for a bout 2 minutes over a medium high heat while stirring.

Add boiling water and cover the skillet immediately. Steam the beans shaking the skillet occasionally for about 15 minutes or until tender. 

Add butter, vinegar, salt and pepper. Toss until combined. sprinkle with bacon.
